"Freichter" is a highly respected, old-school name in the Gulf Coast big-game scene. Operating out of the New Orleans area, Freichter specialized in pouring heavy, ultra-stable resin heads designed specifically to handle the unique, often choppy blue-water conditions found around the Mississippi River Delta and the oil rigs of the northern Gulf of Mexico.
During the 1980s, when Freichter was hand-pouring these heavy resin heads from the legendary Hawaiian Henry Yap molds, they experimented with different reflective materials to catch the sunlight beneath the water. One of their most famous and visually striking creations involved embedding vibrant blue sequins
