Product Overview
Up for auction/sale is a premier big-game offshore trolling weapon: a Black Bart Pelagic Breakfast. Patterned directly after Black Bart’s world-famous, heavy-tackle "Breakfast" lure, the Pelagic Breakfast downshifts that legendary shape into a highly versatile, mini-sized profile. Known across the global tournament circuit as an absolute magnet for tuna, billfish, and mahi, this high-action bait puts on an incredible underwater show. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Design & Performance Features
- The "Pelagic Breakfast" Scoop Nose: Designed with an asymmetrical scoop nose that forces dynamic water resistance. As it trolls, it triggers an exciting, erratic, darting, dashing, and swimming motion that perfectly mimics a panicked baitfish fleeing for its life. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Indestructible Acrylic Construction: The head is poured using an ultra-tough, unbreakable hard acrylic—the exact same high-grade compound used to manufacture fighter jet canopies. It stands up to brutal strike after strike, ensuring it won't chip, crack, or yellow even after heavy deck impacts or interactions with razor-sharp teeth. [1, 2, 3]
- Internal Light Flash: Features a localized pink insert or bright foil core near the inner nose. When pulled through a spread, this provides a highly lifelike color flash—mimicking the natural iridescent sheen of a live ballyhoo. [1, 2]
- Trolling Position Versatility: This exceptionally stable head runs flawlessly at standard tournament speeds (7 to 12 knots) across all spread positions. It handles flat lines, short outriggers, or clean-water shotgun sniper lines with total tracking composure.
