Product Overview:
Up for auction is a rare, discontinued classic from Dennis Braid's legendary heavy-resin marlin lineup. Long before Braid Products focused entirely on their industry-standard fighting harnesses and belts, they produced some of the hardest-running big-game tournament heads on the market.
This 12" Ten Pin is a dedicated cup-face model built to be an absolute commotion-maker in your spread. Run it on the short corner or flat line, and its deep concave face will aggressively plow the surface, pop violently, and drag a massive, persistent smoke and bubble trail right through dense prop wash.
This head features the highly sought-after green prism faceted tape core. Under bright sunlight, this reflective green pattern throws a shifting, multi-angle flash that perfectly mimics a frantic, fleeing dorado (mahi-mahi)—an irresistible trigger for large apex pelagics.
Condition Notes for Collectors:
The heavy-poured clear resin head is in fantastic shape with brilliant luster. It has completely avoided the severe cloudy yellowing common with vintage resin gear of this era. The cup rim is sharp and free of major bill-impact chips or cracks, and the skirt saddle remains perfectly intact.
Since Braid no longer manufactures these heavy-poured resin trolling series, finding a 12" Ten Pin head in this specific color pattern is becoming incredibly difficult. It is a perfect addition to a vintage tackle collection display or a proven weapon to put right back into a tournament spread.
