Up for auction/sale is an exceptionally rare, museum-tier Vintage Sadu Lures 4" Heavy Blinker Bullet Trolling Lure (approx. 12" overall skirted profile), handcrafted in Kona, Hawaii by the legendary Captain Sadu Frehm. This is a highly prized big-game collectible featuring Sadu's iconic internal lead ballast, specialized low-flash foil insert, and his historic water-activated flashing LED system.
The Historic Sadu Electronic "Blinker" Design:
This is the legendary configuration where Sadu Frehm cast true battery-powered electronic LED components directly inside the resin core. Designed to activate automatically when wet, the internal LEDs were engineered to flash underwater, creating an irresistible pulsing light signature in the deep prop wash. This electronic element is beautifully paired with his specialized matte/diffused fish-scale prism insert, which purposefully minimizes harsh surface sunlight glare to avoid spooking sharp-sighted billfish.
